I attended a book art workshop at the weekend. It was held at Waterstones and run by Kate Bufton. I thought it’d be much harder than it was, but once we’d been shown the repeat patterns it was just a case of folding every page the same, or alternating a pattern. I made two in the hour.
Using old books to make art is such a lovely way to give those books new life, and it was great fun learning lots of different methods of folding. The end results were beautiful and I’ve learned a fun new skill!
