2013 Bookshelf Tour

I do try to have some order to my shelves, mostly by putting books in the same genre together and authors together. I have bought most of these books myself, too. About 25 were sent to me, the rest I have purchased from bookstores and online retailers, or received for an occasion (like my birthday!). Okay, so here’s a look at my bookshelves:

photo 1

I keep dystopia/sci-fi on this shelf. This is one of my favourite shelves, holding a lot of my most loved books! The height of this shelf is a little taller than some of the others, so there are a few hardcovers and large paperbacks on it. There’s SHATTER ME and UNRAVEL ME by Tahereh Mafi, DARK PARTIES and HALF LIVES by Sara Grant, DUALED by Elsie Chapman, IN THE AFTER by Demitria Lunetta, MATCHED, CROSSED and REACHED by Ally Condie, DELIRIUM, PANDEMONIUM and REQUIEM by Lauren Oliver, DIVERGENT, INSURGENT and ALLEGIANT by Veronica Roth and THE HUNGER GAMES trilogy by Suzanne Collins x3. Also home to Loki, Batman and Bane.

Also home to Ursula and Ariel the Little Mermaid!

The HARRY POTTER series continues on this shelf, along with the US large print of HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS and the Hogwarts Library. Next is the BEAUTIFUL CREATURES series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Then LOW RED MOON by Ivy Devlin.

DEAD JEALOUS proof copy by Sharon Jones. I later went to an event and bought a final copy to have signed. Then we’re on to Charlaine Harris books: THE HARPER CONNELLY series and THE SOUTHERN VAMPIRE series.

Continuing with Charlaine Harris’s SOUTHERN VAMPIRE series, then the AURORA TEAGARDEN books. Then there’s Rachel Ward’s THE DROWNING and Fletcher Moss’s THE POISON BOY, and Alex Flinn’s BEASTLY and A KISS IN TIME.

Up top I have a box and some stacked books. So there’s The Monster Book of Monsters keepsake box and SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN, RED RIDING HOOD and Christine Johnson’s CLAIRE DE LUNE and NOCTURNE beside that. In the box there’s THE HOBBIT and THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, Melissa Marr’s WICKED LOVELY series and THE IRON FEY series by Julie Kagawa.

Then my two manga books which wouldn’t fit with their novels so I’m grouping manga/graphic novels together now: THE INFERNAL DEVICES CLOCKWORK ANGEL manga and BEAUTIFUL CREATURES manga. Bottom shelf is beside the bottom shelf of bookshelf 2 with Charlaine Harris books, so here we have large hardcovers that don’t fit anywhere else: A CASUAL VACANCY by J.K. Rowling, THE SOOKIE STACKHOUSE COMPANION and THE AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES OMNIBUS 1 by Charlaine Harris. On the next shelf over is two anthologies: MANY BLOODY RETURNS and WOLFSBANE AND MISTLETOE and Charlaine Harris’s LILY BARD series.
