DARK DAYS: One Week On

It’s been a lovely week since my book deal was announced on PublishersMarketplace.

Kate Ormand’s DARK DAYS, about a sixteen-year-old, who only has fifteen days to live before her sector is destroyed by a cyborg army, and a dangerous and attractive boy, who refuses to give up life without a fight, to Julie Matysik at Sky Pony Press, in a nice deal, for publication in Spring 2014, by Isabel Atherton at Creative Authors (World).

I really appreciate all the kind messages I received that day, and the days to follow, from friends, family, bloggers, authors, and readers. Each one meant a lot to me, so thank you!

I went out for a nice meal with my partner to celebrate. He gave me a fairy tale book charm for my bracelet, which I love. My bracelet is very sentimental, and it’s the perfect charm for my first book deal.

I received some sweet cards from my family, and we opened the champagne!

I sent my wonderful agent, Isabel, a well-deserved gift and card.

And she sent me a cute little book and card, too!

I’m now a Goodreads author and DARK DAYS is up on the site to be added to TBR lists. Thanks to everyone who’s added it so far, and to those who have helped spread the word.

I’ve started a secret project with Emma Pass and we’re having so much fun. It’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to sharing more on that soon.

And, I set up a Facebook Author Page yesterday. So if you like me, please like me!
